After the formal Tufts in India Trip is closed, there will be an optional overnight trip to the Taj Mahal in Agra. Preliminary details include:

Friday, 11-November
3:00 pm:
Depart from the Imperial Hotel in Delhi for Agra in a private Volvo coach.

7:00 pm:
Arrive in Agra, and check in to the Oberoi Amar Vilas hotel. The Amar Vilas Hotel is a magnificent hotel in Agra, and the only hotel with direct, stunning views of the Taj Mahal from each of its 105 bedrooms. We are very fortunate to have the opportunity to stay here.

8:30 pm:
Thali dinner on the terrace at the Amar Vilas accompanied by live musical and Kathak cultural performances, and a splendid sunset view of the Taj Mahal, just 600 meters away.


Saturday, 12-November
Early Morning:
Sunrise visit to the Taj Mahal.

8:30 am:
Breakfast at the hotel.

10:00 am:
Visit to the Agra Fort, a fortified Moghul palace.

12:00-2:00 pm:
Lunch at the hotel.

3:00 pm:
Return to New Delhi in a private Volvo coach for evening departures.
